Privacy policy — Trade Secret Ledger

We do not collect anything.

Trade Secret Ledger has no account, no login, no server of ours, and no analytics. The register you build is stored on your device and nowhere else. Upper Tail Software LLC never receives it, never sees it, and has no way to obtain it.

What is stored on your device

Everything you enter: your entries, the people and organizations you record, the agreements and briefings you log, and the activity history the app writes as you use it. All of it stays in the app's own storage on your iPhone.

Subscriptions

If you subscribe, the purchase is handled by Apple through your Apple Account. The app asks Apple whether a subscription is active and Apple answers; that exchange is between your device and Apple. We never see your payment details, and nothing about your register is involved in it.

Backups

Your register is not included in your device's backups unless you switch that on in Settings. If you do switch it on, your register is included in whatever backup you have already set up — iCloud or a computer — and is handled by Apple or by your own computer under their terms, not ours. We have no access to those backups.

Files you export

When you export your register, the file is created on your device and you choose where it goes. Once you send it somewhere, it is governed by wherever you sent it. We are not involved.

Deleting your data

Because your register is on your device and nowhere else, there is nothing for us to delete and no request to make of us.

The app itself does not delete records. Entries are retired, people are recorded as departed, and decisions you set aside keep their reason and their date — the history stays intact by design. To remove everything, delete the app from your iPhone, which removes the register with it. If you have included the register in your device backups, it may also exist in those backups until they are replaced.

Tracking

The app does not track you, does not use advertising identifiers, and contains no third-party software development kits. This website loads no analytics, no tracking scripts and no third-party assets.

Children

This is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here and the date above will change.
